Herbora
The app

Five tabs. One honest question: what do we actually know about this plant?

Herbora is a field guide, a research library and a wellness journal in one. Here is what each part does, and where it deliberately stops short.

Coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Currently in internal testing.

Point, shoot, and get a hypothesis — not a verdict.

Photograph a leaf, a flower or a whole plant. Herbora returns the most likely match with the confidence behind it, plus the close alternatives it weighed. Every scan lands in your library with its photo so you can revisit or re-check it later.

When the model is unsure, the app says so rather than smoothing it over. A 49% match is shown as a 49% match, with a warning to confirm it — because the dangerous scan is the confident one on the wrong species.

Traditional use and clinical evidence, kept apart.

Browse plants, remedies and the traditions that use them — Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, Islamic Medicine, African Herbal and European Folk herbalism. Each plant carries its botany, the parts used and the preparations behind each remedy.

Evidence ratings travel with the plant everywhere it appears, so you always know what stands behind a claim before you open it.

A journal that answers with ideas, never a diagnosis.

Log how you feel and Herbora surfaces educational traditional remedy ideas in return. Steps, sleep and hydration sync from Apple Health and Health Connect so the picture stays in one place, and reminders help the habit stick.

The educational disclaimer sits at the top of the tab, not buried in a settings screen. Symptoms that need real medical attention are flagged, and you are pointed towards a clinician instead of a remedy.

See what you actually logged, not what you remember.

Streaks, mood across the week, and the symptoms you record most often. It is a record of your own observations — useful to bring to a clinician, and never presented as a measurement of whether a remedy worked.

Your own collection, working with or without a signal.

Save plants, remedies and scans, write notes on any of them, and group everything into collections — a foraging list, a study set, a garden plan. Saved plants keep their evidence badge, and past scans keep their confidence score.

Download regional plant packs before you travel and keep browsing plants, remedies and references where there is no reception.

What Herbora will not do

It will not tell you a plant is safe to eat. It will not diagnose you, and it will not tell you to stop or start a medication. Plant identification can be wrong, many plants are toxic, and some interact dangerously with prescribed medicine. Herbora is an educational reference — confirm with a qualified botanist or herbalist before handling or consuming anything, and talk to a clinician about your health.
