Herbora
Educational reference · Not medical advice

Traditional plant medicine, traced back to the evidence.

Point your camera at a plant. Herbora tells you what it is, how healing traditions around the world have used it, and what modern research actually says about those uses — with the sources, so you can judge for yourself.

Coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Currently in internal testing.

A field guide, a research library and a wellness journal — in one app.

Built for curiosity and study. Herbora is not a diagnostic tool and never pretends to be.

Identify plants

Photograph a plant and get an identification with the confidence behind it. Every scan is saved to your library so you can return to it.

Explore traditions

Browse plants, remedies and the healing traditions that use them. See where traditions agree about a plant, and where they diverge.

Follow the evidence

Each traditional use is paired with what current research says, graded and referenced. No claim without a source you can read yourself.

Track your wellness

Log how you feel and explore educational remedy ideas in return. Steps, sleep and hydration sit alongside, synced from Apple Health and Health Connect.

Build a library

Save plants, remedies and scans, add your own notes, and organise everything into collections that make sense to you.

Use it offline

Download regional plant packs and keep browsing where there is no signal. Your saved library works offline too.

Every claim carries its receipts.

Traditional use and clinical evidence are two different things, and Herbora never blurs them. Each use is labelled with how well it is supported, and links to the research behind that label.

Strong evidence Moderate evidence Limited evidence Traditional use

A plant used for centuries with little modern study is shown as exactly that — traditional use, not proven benefit. Knowing the difference is the point of the app.

Safety comes first, by design

Tell Herbora your pregnancy status, conditions and medications and it filters what it shows you. Symptoms that need real medical attention are flagged as such, and you are pointed towards a clinician instead of a remedy. Some plants are toxic, and some interact with prescribed medication — Herbora will say so.
